Word Vault 2 is Out!

Word Vault 2 is out on the App Store now. If you own version 1, it’s a free upgrade! Please tell your friends about Word Vault and/or leave an App Store review. I'd love for the app to be successful enough to keep updating it.

There are tons of new things: better reviews, images, audio pronunciations and translations. You can learn more on the product page.

In the Press

The folks at Beautiful Pixels wrote up a nice review of Word Vault, and it’s been featured on Product Hunt too, which is really exciting.

Word Vault 1.8 is Now Available!

Custom URL Scheme

If you use Launch Center Pro, Drafts or other similar apps to make your iOS experience more efficient, Word Vault now has a URL Scheme that you can use to look words up! You can use the following scheme:

If you're reading this on an iOS device with the latest version of Word Vault installed, you can click this link to try it out.

Pasteboard Suggestions

If you copy a word or short phrase and launch Word Vault, it will now helpfully auto-fill the word lookup field for you - just hit enter and you'll be on your way. If you don't want to look up that word, just start typing as usual and Word Vault will discard the suggestion in favour of your input.

Barring any major complications, Word Vault 1.8 will be the last major release before Word Vault 2. Version 2 is a major rewrite for iOS 7 which contains a bunch of improvements and new features. I can't wait to show it to you. :)

Word Vault 1.6.2 is In Review

This release has swipe-to-delete, the lack of which was by far the most common problem faced by new users. Reviews have been taking about a week recently, so hopefully by the start of next week Apple will allow the update on the store.

In the meantime, please note that you can in fact remove a word from your vault now by tapping on it, scrolling down and then tapping on the trash can icon!
